After Columbia University, Kevin joined Teach For America and spent three years as a special educator in the special education department of a two-thousand-student public high school in Brooklyn, New York — training at Relay Graduate School of Education at the same time, where he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching with dual certification in special education and general education.

He is a registered teacher in Hong Kong. Having come through the IB himself at Chinese International School, he also knows first-hand the system Hong Kong families are navigating.

That period shaped a straightforward belief: the barrier is usually not subject knowledge. It is the learning skills underneath — how a student holds instructions, organises work, starts when starting is hard, and recovers when something does not land. Teaching the subject without understanding those is guessing politely.

Franco is an English and Humanities specialist with an IB Diploma from Chinese International School and Master’s degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford. He has an eight-year track record of helping students achieve in middle-school English, ESL, GCSE/IGCSE, and competitive school entrance exams.

He combines rigorous, discussion- and reading-focused classes with persuasive writing techniques inspired by his postgraduate studies. By teaching students how to think and how to express themselves, he empowers them to articulate their ideas confidently and truly.

Kerry is a public speaking and debate specialist who served as Head Girl and Debate Captain at Chinese International School before graduating summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics, International Relations, and Statistics. At JPMorgan she worked in high-stakes communication — crafting speeches for senior executives, pitching complex ideas to leadership, and hosting panels for major audiences.

Her teaching rests on a simple conviction: confidence on stage is built, not born. Eloquence is not about memorising scripts; it is about learning to organise thoughts under pressure, read a room, and project authentic authority.

Through tailored one-to-one sessions and dynamic group debates, Kerry teaches students to analyse arguments critically and express themselves with precision. With primary students she focuses on dismantling the fear of speaking up and building clear, expressive speech; with secondary students she refines rebuttal technique, persuasive writing and executive presence — preparing them for university interviews, competitions and future leadership roles.

Jess is a biology and chemistry specialist holding an Integrated Master of Biology (MBiol) with First-Class Honours from the University of Oxford. Her academic record includes an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on novel zoonotic diseases and a British Science Association Award for aquatic pollution research. Whilst at Oxford, she began her teaching career mentoring Year 12 and 13 students with MIT, supporting STEM access in university admissions.

Over the past year, Jess has tutored students across Hong Kong aged 7 to 19 in STEM. Her lessons adapt complex scientific concepts to each student’s learning level and pace — whether building foundational knowledge for young learners or guiding students through their GCSE and A-level examinations.

Jess believes the key to long-term achievement in science is nurturing students’ passion and motivation for the subject — and building the internal confidence to tackle challenging or new concepts.
